In this folio, I have captured the essential elements and some details of a thirty year career. The philosophy and goals statement is most current (October 18, 2004) and written from the position of reflection on both the course of study in the doctoral program and my thirty years in the classroom. While my vita may be considered thin by university standards, I thought to include it because it was an opportunity to describe in brief narrative the various roles I have played within the school system as a teacher of English, high school theater director, curriculum writer, lead teacher, and staff developer as opposed to the concise one page resume also included.  Finally, the personal statement, written April 14, 2001, combines aspects of my personal life and professional aspirations at the time I applied to the St. John's program.
